Making news, weather, and sports happen since 1980

I was lucky enough to land my first job in TV at WKOW-TV in Madison, WI at the very beginning of the digitization of television techniolgy. In fact, the WKOW newsroom was still shooting mostly on film.

Since then I have been involved with bringing a bunch of technology to market in no small part by piggybacking on ColorGraphics’ emergence from the WKOW prop room attic at the same time. CoiorGraphics and its founder Terry Kelly provided me my first job on the technology vendor side of the market.

I made a career out of leading edge broadcast technology and after reprising my weather bonafides I started APIX in 2012. Since then APIX has crafted a suite of botique solutiuons focused on helping newrooms become more locally and digitalluy relevant.
